RE: Subs Vs Dubs!
Thats quite a collection of languages you have there, I only know English.
Isn't Mandarin Chinese really hard to learn, from what I hear its one of the most difficult. I'm learning Japanese but I'm a bit lazy, so thats gonna take me a long time, Plus I'd also like to learn German, French and Spanish as I like how they sound when spoken fluently. |

RE: Subs Vs Dubs!
well i think chinese is only complicated because they change everything so frequently. its like a trend, or a phase, things they say only last a few years, and then it all changes. makes it hard to learn something that is in a constant motion, on top of that their pernouncing is terrible, they put 4 different emphesis on the vowels.
And they use their teeth and tounge to make sounds to pernounce words with CH, T, SH, X, and Z. Making it even more confusing. But I knew Japanese first, and Japanese is a language derived from the Chinese changed over the times, so alot of the words are the same, but with different context. Most the chinese people refer to japanese as Chinglish, as a joke of half Chinese half englihs, but i just htink thats bizzare Japanese is also a difficult language XD! |

Chinese really does sound a bit overwhelming, but I suppose you'd not really have any use for it unless living in China, since the rest of the world speaks English mostly. Still Chinese is the most spoken language on the planet, I'll have to get up to scratch.

China is alot like Japan, pretty much anyone under the age of 30 can understand you when you speak English. But the downside is that when they are taught english, its all on paper, no practice. So most of them can udnerstand you, but really cant reply to you, because they have no idea how.

I'm going with my brother, It'll be my first trip as I wasn't able to afford it last Christmas.
I'm quite looking forward to it, although I have a feeling that half my time will be spent in Akihabara. |
