Four hundred dollars I think. That's about a pay check for me. Since I don't have anything, aside from health insurance, to pay it's not so bad for me. I can get a PC that plays all the latest games for roughly five hundred dollars. Four hundred is a bit much for a console with an unknown lifespan.
That said I have the second generation PS3. It's old, fat and still running in perfect condition. Though I have friends with not so fortunate PS3s. Weird that every console is different. Like people. I had one Playstation that broke from misuse. Three PS2s two of which broke from nothing (most likely faulty design) and my third which is still perfect and with me thankfully. Note the third PS2 is a slim version. I also have the original PSP in perfect condition and hacked. My PS3 was hacked at one time but I liked playing online to much to risk being banned.

PS3 still has a good library of games so I don't mind waiting a little longer for PS4. <3
