While I do admit that Mario games get repetitive both gameplay and story-wise, I still enjoy a handful of them. Especially the older ones.
Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels for instance is still a Mario game, although it plays slightly different from it's original platformers. But the game was so brutally challenging on the SNES, I could never manage to get passed the second stage.

Ugh.
I hated that game. It was so weird. It was even more annoying watching you play it. LOL. It looks unbeatable.

@COS: Yeah it's for the SNES =]
@Skipper: I never played it myself but the hubby did and it was really hard. He probably wouldn't make it far without quick saves on the emulator =p

[MENTION=430]Kik[/MENTION]: Ah, that's another thing which adds more difficulty to the game itself. No in-game save spots mean you wont be clearing the game in a pinch, lol.
