they are known as Advers Posters. Companies pay small money to people working from home, to sit there and advertise their company, or website everywhere they can, and they get paid for it. Forums accounts take only seconds to setup, and even less time to make a simple post or thread about whatever they need to advertise.

Advers Posters are given this name in short of Advertisment Poster. They are very annoying, and should be banned ip and all immeadiatelly.

Ah, yes. An Advers Poster has revealed himself/herself from the shadows. XD
This is actually the first one I've recieved in my life of board management.

But you are all correct in this. I do not allow advertisements here.
What really bothers me though is the fact that people go out of their way to try and promote their work over someone else's.

I do, however, allow links to stuff such as GFX/art work, videos/AMVs, news articles, etc.

But posting things for personal promotional purposes that only benefit you and don't help out the board in any way are prohibited.
