ya know im my opinion there are some dubs that are acceptable not great but acceptable it really depends on what company is the one controlling the dub.

I actually don't watch to much AS, I think the reason why I enjoy dubs is because I think being a voice actor would be awesome!
I thought that the haruhi dub was great, and even though there are all sorts of name changes and stuff, I really enjoy the case closed/detective conan dub. I think they did a good job with the voices and I like how they made conan's thoughts be in jimmy/shinichi's voice. As for the clannad dub, I think it could have been much better, so I will choose watching sub over dub any day there. |

I tend to prefer subs, but I will watch the dubs.
One Piece is a great example of this for me. The (FUNimation) dub is good, but it's just hard to match the Japanese cast... Especially considering that Luffy and Franky (possibly others although I don't remember) were kind of designed with the Voice Actress/Actor in mind. This is why what little I've heard of Franky's English voice just doesn't make any sense to me, no matter how good it is in reality. Kazuki Yao is Franky, lol. |
