RE: Vocaloids

I have the Hatsune Miku one and an english voice one but I've never really used them extensively.
They are highly recommendable though, you can have some good fun playing with one of those. haha

Is your Luka copy the legal one?? I know Id like to get her just for the fun of it myself.

Whyt Lindow 03-25-2011 06:37 PM

RE: Vocaloids

I don't think tnat there is one legal pieceof software on my PC...
I'd have to check what version it is before hand anyway cos I'm not sure.

AudriSampson 03-26-2011 10:24 PM

RE: Vocaloids

well the version is just what vocaloid you have. It would be Miku, Ren and Len or Luka.

Whyt Lindow 03-26-2011 10:48 PM

RE: Vocaloids

Yeah, but the last time I checked what vocaloids I had was many a month ago so I'm not too sure what I have.

I enjoy the Vocaloids, but mostly for all the awesome fanart on the Internet. I've hardly listened to any of the songs. XD

RE: Vocaloids

I jump back and forth every so often, I haven't listened to anything recent but I've seen some rather amusing ones in the past.

Im finding with the newest album I bought they are really working to make fairly legit songs as apposed to gimicky ones like Po Pi Po.

I've just been looking around at whatever else is available and I think I'm gonna get me some more.
I'll post the links for the ones I'm downloading if you want them as well.
I'm also gonna have a better look at the English language ones as I've had a play with the Mirium on before.

Edit:
I'm gonna download a compilation of all the software, it's called POCALOID, it's been recompiled and translated properly and a lot of bugs fixed. Think I'll give it a go.

Heres the voice packs it has:

Hatsune Miku
Kagamine Rin
Kagamine Len
Kagamine Rin act.2
Kagamine Len act.2
Megurine Luka (English)
Megurine Luka (Japanese)
Hatsune Miku append dark beta
Hatsune Miku append soft beta
Megpoid
Gackpoid
Sweet Ann
Sonika
Prima
SF-A2 miki
Hiyama Kiyoteru
Kaai Yuki

RE: Vocaloids

I can only find one torrent link at the moment but it should be ok, although I will mention that it is for the pirate bay.

Pirate Bay torrent page: http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5267010/POCALOID2_-_all_voices_of_VOCALOID2_(Vocaloid)
Pirate Bay torrent download: http://torrents.thepiratebay.org/5267010/POCALOID2_-_all_voices_of_VOCALOID2_(Vocaloid).5267010.TPB.to rrent

Read through the description and check all the features for yourself, or just straight download it to avoid visiting the pirate bay site.

And dont worry, no viruses.

RE: Vocaloids

......The Pirate Bay.....becareful of the downloads from there, Anti-P2P organizations like to be seeds from there just to get some info on what people are downloading to try and bust them for illegal downloads.

Might I suggest using a nice free little program called: Peerblock, just use it to block Anti-P2P and your good to go.
Here is the link: http://www.peerblock.com/releases/public-releases/peerblock-1.1.0-r518
Just scroll down the page a bit and you will find the installer link for it, along with a user guide. I block more than Anti-P2P, but I do a lot of risky stuff.

RE: Vocaloids

Just to warn ya Whyt when I downloaded that program my antivirus software lit up like a christmas tree..

Blitztech 04-05-2011 09:33 AM

RE: Vocaloids

Apparently in that torrent, there is a false postive or two detected by AVG and some other antiviruses.

Whyt Lindow 04-05-2011 11:38 AM

RE: Vocaloids

Different anti-viruses detect things as viruses, if you do feel paranoid just slam your anti-virus up to full and same with the firewall, it tries to do any funny stuff then just eradicate it. I don't take no shit. =)

I've been downloading quite a bit from the pirate bay and I have yet to get a virus, even the comments that have given detection reports have always been false in my case.

(If it lit up like a Christmas light then my PC is doing something funny, I haven't had a virus detection warning in quite sometime. Plus my Comodo's on safe mode so I wouldn't worry if it did find anything. To say the least, I've already installed the program and I haven't been badgered by any viruses yet.)

RE: Vocaloids

Yeah I use AVG. I'm pretty paranoid about that stuff so it was like OH CRAP LOL.

Blitztech 04-07-2011 12:52 AM

RE: Vocaloids

Kaspersky IS 2011 + Avast! Antivirus + SUPERAntispyware + Comodo Firewall + Peerblock(with Anti-P2P/Spyware lists), I have not gotten a virus from anything......plus the new Avast! has a Sandbox for any executed install/program not in its white list. Also I am downloading this thing, and even with low seeds, I am getting it pretty quickly.

Now this vocaloid program...what is it exactly?

Whyt Lindow 04-07-2011 10:17 AM

RE: Vocaloids

Think of a time, when computers can synthesise the voice of a regular human being to the point in which it may only slightly be differentiable.

With Vocaloid, that time is now.

What makes it better is that they use anime like voices. So you can enjoy making something amusing.

Blitztech 04-07-2011 01:03 PM

RE: Vocaloids

I see......seems interesting, I must try when it finishes.
